Panko Shrimp Skewers

Crispy and flavorful shrimp skewers coated with panko breadcrumbs, perfect for appetizers or a light meal.

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place flour in another bowl and beaten eggs in a third bowl.
  4. Thread shrimp onto soaked wooden skewers.
  5. Dredge each skewer in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with the panko mixture.
  6. Place skewers on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  • For extra crispiness, spray skewers lightly with cooking spray before baking.
