Emma Montoya

I am definitely the rule-breaker of the family. While Nour is measuring grams and Margaret is plating things perfectly, I’m usually over in the corner wondering if I can dehydrate watermelon jerky or turn leftover parmesan rinds into crispy croutons. My passion for cooking comes from a deep boredom with the standard “meat and three sides” dinner routine. I want flavor that punches you in the face and textures that surprise you. I’ve had plenty of disasters—like the time I tried to air-fry pickles without a binder and ended up with a machine full of hot pickle juice—but those mess-ups are where the magic happens. I joined Crispzy because I wanted to show people that the kitchen is a playground, not a place to be stressed out. I love taking a humble ingredient like a radish or a bag of frozen peas and turning it into the loudest, crunchiest snack in the pantry. I’m here to push the boundaries of what your appliances can do and encourage you to play with your food.
