Baked Mozzarella Sticks

  • 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut each mozzarella stick in half. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  3. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
  4. Whisk eggs in another bowl. Place flour in a third bowl.
  5. Roll each mozzarella piece in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Place coated sticks on the baking sheet. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and cheese starts to melt.
  8. Serve immediately with marinara sauce.
